Camp Flintlock guides arrived Monday to setup a colonial encampment on campus. Students enjoyed field trips from Tuesday through Friday! Activities varied by day and included: A drum and fife demonstration, a musket demonstration, Indian necklace making, rag doll making, block printing, beeswax candle making, writing with quill and ink, tomahawk throwing, shopping at the colonial store, and more!
Students had a wonderful time, with a number of students remarking "It was the best day of my life!"
This was a great opportunity for their history classes to come alive.
