The Youngsville Academy Parent Education Series will provide targeted instruction specifically designed for parents/guardians of current Youngsville Academy students. These presentations will include topics such as A Focus on the Curriculum, Ways to Assist Your Child in Meeting Academic Goals, Healthy Eating and Activity, The Ups and Downs of Technology (and how much is too much), etc. Most presentations will be provided by faculty and staff of Youngsville Academy, however occasionally we will invite guest speakers to the school. There will be at least two education nights per year with up to one per track.
In order to allow parents to really focus on the Parent Education Series and to allow the presenters as few distractions/interruptions as possible, the Parent Education Nights will be strictly adult attendance. Babysitting on the campus will not be provided and parents will need to find their own childcare that night. The events are intended to be engaging, enlightening, and impactful for parents. Attendance is optional but highly recommended.
Youngsville Academy teachers and staff are very excited to provide parents with these educational opportunities. We look forward to your attendance!
1st presentation is February 20th. Topic: Anti-bullying
2nd presentation is March 5th. Topic: Math Curriculum Night
The Antibullying Presentation objective is to provide parents with factual information that will enable them to define bullying with a true definition and use additional information and resources to teach their children the necessary character traits that helps the YA family stand against bullying and unite for kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Taking a stand against bullying is, in part an act of vigilance that starts at home.
